THE BLUESTEM BIO RESPIRATOR

Bluestem Bio Respirator technology is designed to protect health care workers who work in highly infectious environments (personnel in infectious disease wards, ambulance workers, paramedics, and high contact long-term care facilities workers). The Bluestem Bio respirator is designed to inactivate 99.99% to 100% of aerosolized viruses by using the thermal stress method. Thermal stress works by inactivating most viruses and their variants by steric degradation of the proteins that codify viral activity and renders them unable to replicate and trigger disease.

 

The Bluestem Bio respirator technology eliminates the need of filters and an air pump, while increasing efficiency and portability. The Bluestem Bio technology is 500 times more effective than an N95 filtration mask (only allows 0.01% of viruses instead of 5% for an N95). The Bluestem Bio respirator is comfortable for different face sizes, it protects the eyes, and provides the user with cool sterilized air. 

 

With a 30-month product lifecycle, the respirator reduces hospital PPE costs and provides a sustainable alternative to the environmental waste created by the billions of disposable masks that do not break down in the environment.
